One of my friends asked me a question few days ago, he said he want to add a new user to his Windows 8 so that his friends can use his computer without accessing all his stuff in that computer. I think many other people would have the same idea as that of my friend. So i would write this passage to demonstrate how to add a new user to Windows 8.
Adding a new user to Windows 8 can be mainly divided into two main conditions:
Adding a new user for others' using so that it can prevent them from accessing the host's private stuffs.
Adding a new user to manage the system for the password of the old ones have been forgotten
We would first talk about the first situation.
when we can access to Windows 8, we can add new user by following the under steps.
Step 1: Click the user icon on the top right corner of the Start menu and select Change account picture in the list.
Step 2: In coming PC settings window, select Users on the left panel and tap Add a user at the bottom of the right side.
Step 3: In the coming window, just type whatever you like. Then click Next.
Step 4: Click Next to finish the adding process.
When you forget some existing password of a user, you may be blocked when signing up to Windows 8, what you should do is to reset the password of the existing user or add a new user to windows 8. Here i would show you two different ways to add new user when forgetting the password.
Adding a new user from command prompt
Preparation: Windows 8 recovery drive.
Step 1: Insert Windows 8 Recovery Drive into the locked computer and boot computer from recovery drive. And after that you'll see Troubleshoot menu, click Advanced options.
Step 2: On the next screen, click the Command Prompt option.
Step 3: Type diskpart into command prompt and type list vol to list the hard drive in your computer. Then type exit to get out of the diskpart utility. (This step is to find out the system drive, if you know the exact sytem drive, you can skip this step.)
Step 4: Type the following commands respectively.
cd system 32
ren Utilman.exe to Utilman.exe bak
copy cmd.exe Utilman.exe
Note: C means the system drive in this case, your computer's system drive may differ with this one, so you should just adapt it to your conditions.
Step 5: Close the command prompt, restart your computer and unplug the recovery drive.
Step 6: Once computer boot to the login screen, click the Ease of Access button at the bottom left corner. It will open a Command Prompt window instead of the Ease of Access menu.
Step 7: Type in net user command and press Enter, it will list the exact names of all the user accounts available in your Windows 8 system.
Step 8: Type [net user [username] [password] /add ] into the command prompt. For example, if you want to add a user named iSunshare and its password is 123456, then you could type net user iSunshare 12345 / add into the command prompt, and click Enter to execute it. Then the iSunshare's password would be set to 12345.
Step 9: Just close the command prompt, and restart your computer, then you can login the system with the new user.
Attention: Due to different system structure, this above method can easily make your computer crashed or may not work for some reasons, so i recommend you to follow the under method.
Adding a new user in Windows 8 by using a third party recovery software
Here i would use iSunshare Windows password Genius as an example. If you want to know more about this software, just refer to iSunshare official site.

Step 3: Plug USB reset disk into locked laptop and make computer boot from USB device. you can refer to how to boot computer from USB.
Step 4: As soon as the locked Windows 8 computer starts from USB, Click Add user, add a user. Then click Reboot button. Unplug the USB disk.
