Nowadays the MS Word document is one of the most used types of document files when it comes to writing textual documents and commonly contain sensitive information including your business data and personal privacy. It is used widely in several work related issues and is also one of the most preferred forms of uses and thus it is imperative that the document is protected and kept safe from the hands and the interference of others. Part 1: Change inner configuration of Word document to disable the editing or formatting restriction
Step 1: Open the target Word document (doc, docx) and navigate to the File >> Save File, and make sure the file format is set as Rich-Text-Format (*.rtf). Close the file in Word.
Step 2: Open the new Rich-Text file with a text editor, such as Notepad or Notepad++. You can do so by dragging and dropping it into the editor window and set the file format to All files (*.*).
Step 3: Find passwordhash in the text and replace the string that follows with nopassword. Then save and close the file in your text editor.
Step 4: Re-open the modified Rich-Text file in Word, navigate to Review>>Restrict Editing and click Stop Protection. Then uncheck all tick-boxes in the coming section.Then you can open the editing or formatting restriction Word document.
