Way 1: Using Admin account to reset Windows 7 common user account
If you have just forgotten some standard users' password, and at the same time you still have an account with admin privilege, you can login Windows 7 with this account and then change or remove other users' password on Control Panel.
Step 1: Click Start and open Control Panel.
Step 2: Select User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts.
Step 3: Click the Manage another account option.
Step 4: Choose the account you would like to change password.
Step 5: Click Change the password or Remove the password.
Now, let us navigate to another method to reset the computer password.
Way 2: Loging in the computer with admin account and reset the password through command prompt
While you have accessed computer with administrator, now just open command prompt with it in Windows 7. If not, you can switch to log in Windows 7 with admin account at first and then run command prompt, or run command prompt with built-in administrator instead.
Step 1: Click Start and type "cmd" in search box, then right-click "cmd.exe" and Run as administrator. Click Yes on pop-up UAC dialog and successfully run Command Prompt.
Step 2: Enter net user command to reset Windows 7 password.
For exampel, you can first type net user to list all the users in this computer. Then after you find the target user account, just type net user xxx yyy. xxx represent the name of the user account and yyy represent the new password.
